$349.99
Mogami PLATINUM GUITAR-30 30' Instrument Cable

The Gretsch G5220 Electromatic Jet BT is a right-handed solidbody electric guitar with a single-cut Jet body and Dark Cherry Metallic finish. It is designed for players who want a compact, stage-ready Gretsch-style instrument with dual humbucking pickups and straightforward controls. Its chambered mahogany body and laminated maple top combine traditional Jet construction with reduced body mass.
This model suits guitarists looking for a versatile electric guitar for clean, driven, rhythm, and lead applications. The Black Top Broad'Tron pickups provide a humbucking configuration with individual pickup volume controls, a master volume, and a master tone control. A three-position toggle selects the bridge pickup, both pickups together, or the neck pickup.
The chambered mahogany body is intended to provide a present midrange response while supporting low-end weight and clear high frequencies. Its laminated maple top complements the mahogany construction, while the 24.6-inch scale length gives the instrument a compact Gretsch playing feel. The Thin U mahogany neck and 12-inch-radius laurel fingerboard support chord work and lead playing across 22 medium-jumbo frets.
Gretsch equips the G5220 with Black Top Broad'Tron pickups, an anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge, and a Gretsch V-Stoptail tailpiece. The master-volume control includes a treble-bleed circuit to help retain high-frequency clarity when turning down the overall volume. Separate neck and bridge pickup volume controls allow players to balance the pickups before using the master controls.
The G5220 can serve as a primary electric guitar for an amp-and-pedal setup or as a focused addition to a collection needing a chambered single-cut instrument. Its passive electronics connect to standard electric-guitar amplification through a conventional instrument cable. Optional Gretsch hardshell and gig bag accessories are available separately for transport and storage.
Key Features

- Laminated Maple Top: Complements the mahogany body construction and visual design.
- Black Top Broad'Tron Pickups: Dual humbuckers provide neck, bridge, and combined pickup selections.
- Treble-Bleed Master Volume: Helps preserve clarity as the master volume is reduced.
- Anchored Adjusto-Matic Bridge: Provides an adjustable fixed-bridge string path.
- Gretsch V-Stoptail: Supplies a fixed tailpiece design without a vibrato unit.
Design & Installation
The G5220 uses a gloss-finished mahogany body with chambering, a laminated maple top, white body binding with black/white purfling, and chrome hardware. Its set mahogany neck has a gloss urethane finish, white binding, pearloid Big Block inlays, and a synthetic bone nut. The Dark Cherry Metallic finish is paired with a silver plexi pickguard carrying Gretsch and Electromatic logos.
For use, fit the supplied .010-.046 nickel-plated steel strings as needed, tune the guitar, and connect it to a compatible guitar amplifier or pedal chain with a standard instrument cable. Use the three-position toggle and individual pickup volumes to set pickup balance, then use the master volume and master tone for overall adjustment. A G6238FT flat-top solidbody hardshell case or G2164 solidbody gig bag may be purchased separately for carrying the instrument.
