The Crunch GP-2000.4 Ground Pounder is a four-channel car audio amplifier for powering an upgraded speaker system from a factory or aftermarket source unit. It provides four-channel operation for front and rear speakers, with bridged configurations available when a system needs higher output on paired channels. High-level inputs also make it suitable for installations that retain a factory radio without RCA preamp outputs.

This Class A/B amplifier is rated for 4 x 250 watts at 4 ohms or 4 x 500 watts at 2 ohms. For systems that need paired-channel output, it can be configured for 2 x 1,000 watts bridged at 4 ohms. Its selectable operating arrangements support four-channel stereo, dual stereo bridged, stereo plus bridged mono, or dual bridged mono setups.

The GP-2000.4 is designed for installers and enthusiasts building a multi-speaker system with adjustable signal shaping. Variable electronic crossovers help direct suitable frequency ranges to connected speakers, while the built-in bass control and selectable bass boost allow system-level adjustment. Input sensitivity is variable from 0.2 to 9 volts to accommodate a range of source-unit signal levels.

Crunch uses SPEED-FET MOSFET output devices and a high-energy pulse-width-modulated power supply in this amplifier. Its QTD aluminum heat sink is intended to disperse heat during operation, and the low-noise preamplifier circuit supports a clean signal path from the source unit. LED diagnostics provide visual indication for overload and speaker-short protection.

For an upgrade path, the GP-2000.4 can run four speakers independently or be bridged into two higher-output channels at the specified 4-ohm load. RCA inputs support conventional aftermarket head-unit connections, while high-level inputs provide an option for OEM integration. An RCA output can also pass signal to a second amplifier when expanding the system.

The design also incorporates SPEED-FET MOSFET output components, a low-noise preamplifier circuit, and a pulse-width-modulated power supply.

Mount the amplifier on a secure surface with adequate ventilation and do not install it upside down. The power and ground terminals accept 4 AWG cable, while speaker terminals accept 12 AWG cable; the manufacturer specifies 30A x 2 fusing. Use RCA inputs with compatible preamp outputs, or use the supplied high-level-input harness with a source unit that lacks RCA outputs, and observe the labeled speaker and bridged-output connections.
