The Jackson JS Series Spectra Bass JS3 is a right-handed, 4-string electric bass built for players seeking a full-scale instrument with flexible onboard tone shaping. Its 34-inch scale length and HH pickup layout provide a familiar foundation for rehearsal, recording, and live bass duties. The Silverburst gloss finish is paired with black nickel hardware for a coordinated, stage-ready appearance.

A poplar Spectra Bass body and extended upper horn are designed to distribute the instrument's weight more evenly and help reduce neck dive. The bolt-on maple neck uses a scarf joint construction and a satin finish. This combination is intended to provide a stable, smooth-playing platform without adding unnecessary complexity.

Two Jackson medium-output humbucking pickups deliver the core voice, with bridge and neck positions available through the blend control. A two-way toggle provides pickup coil splitting for an additional tonal option. The active 3-band EQ lets players adjust low, mid, and high-frequency response when the active circuit is engaged.

The volume knob includes a push/pull active-passive selector, allowing the bass to bypass its active EQ circuit. This provides a passive operating option if the battery for the active circuit is depleted. The control layout also includes a blend control and dome-style knobs for direct adjustment while playing.

The bound laurel fingerboard has a 12-inch to 16-inch compound radius, 24 jumbo frets, and white dot position inlays. Design & Installation

The JS3 uses a gloss poplar body, satin maple neck, bound laurel fingerboard, black pickup covers, and black nickel hardware. Its unique Jackson 2x2 headstock has white binding, while the neck binding and white dot inlays provide visual definition along the fingerboard. Nickel-plated steel strings in .045-.105 gauges are fitted from the factory.

Connect the bass to a compatible bass amplifier, DI, pedalboard, or recording interface with an instrument cable. Use the blend control, coil-split toggle, and active 3-band EQ to establish the desired sound, or pull the volume control for passive operation.
