The G5230LH combines a gloss-finished chambered mahogany body with an arched laminated maple top, white binding with black-and-white purfling, and a black plexi pickguard. Its mahogany neck is gloss finished and bound in white, while pearloid Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays mark the laurel fingerboard. Chrome-finished hardware includes die-cast tuning machines, an Anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge, and the Gretsch V-Stoptail.

For setup, connect the guitar's output to a compatible guitar amplifier using a standard instrument cable. The factory string specification is nickel-plated steel in .010-.046 gauges; changes in string gauge or tuning may require normal adjustment of the neck, bridge, and intonation by a qualified technician.
