Its Player Series Alnico 5 split single-coil Precision Bass pickup delivers the single-pickup P Bass format with master volume and master tone controls. The split-coil design supports a focused, full-range bass voice that can be shaped with the onboard tone control. There is no pickup selector switch, keeping operation simple and immediate.

An alder body forms the instrument's solid-body foundation, while the gloss polyester finish provides a durable exterior. The 34-inch scale length and 1.625-inch synthetic-bone nut are standard long-scale bass dimensions. The maple fingerboard is fitted with black dot position inlays and matching black side dots.

Design & Installation

This bass combines a contoured alder Precision Bass body with a maple neck and maple fingerboard. Its hardware has a nickel/chrome finish, including a four-saddle standard bridge, knurled flat-top control knobs, and a four-bolt neck plate with an F logo. The Black version uses a 3-ply parchment pickguard, black pickup covers, and black fingerboard markers.

As a passive electric bass, it connects to a compatible bass amplifier, DI, effects chain, or instrument input using a standard instrument cable. Set up the instrument by tuning the factory-installed .045-.105 nickel-plated steel strings, then adjust bridge saddle height and intonation as needed with the specified .070-inch hex wrench. Fender identifies a compatible hardshell case and gig bag separately, and neither is included.
