The Jackson JS Series Spectra Bass JS2 is a right-handed, 4-string electric bass designed for players who need a straightforward instrument for rehearsal, recording, and live performance. Its 34-inch scale and 24-fret layout provide the familiar full-scale bass feel used across many styles. The Gloss Black finish and black hardware give it a clean, understated stage-ready appearance.

A poplar Spectra Bass body and offset profile create the foundation of the instrument. The extended upper horn is designed to help distribute the bass's weight and reduce neck dive while playing seated or standing. The bolt-on maple neck uses a scarf joint and a satin finish for a smooth playing surface. Its 12-inch-radius laurel fingerboard, Thin U neck shape, and jumbo frets support both foundational grooves and higher-register playing. White dot position inlays provide familiar visual reference points across the fingerboard.

Jackson pairs a P-style neck pickup with a J-style bridge pickup in a PJ configuration. The blend control lets players combine the two pickup voices, while the bass boost provides additional low-frequency adjustment when the active circuit is engaged. A push/pull volume control switches between active and passive operation, allowing the bass to continue operating when the active circuit is bypassed.

The instrument is built for right-handed players and has no pickguard.

For use, connect the bass to a compatible bass amplifier, DI box, or recording interface with a standard instrument cable. Set the volume, blend, and bass boost controls to suit the rig, and use the push/pull volume control to select active or passive operation. A strap, gig bag or case, amplifier, cable, and tuner are separate accessories unless supplied by the retailer.
