AUDIO360 AD0C 0 AWG Amplifier Wiring Kit $78.00
Bundle total: $217.99

The BOSS KTN-GO2 KATANA:GO is a compact personal headphone amplifier for electric guitar and bass. It plugs directly into an instrument's 1/4-inch output and provides processed Katana-series amp and effects sounds through connected headphones or earphones. It is designed for quiet practice, mobile playing, and direct recording without requiring a traditional amplifier or pedalboard.

Dedicated Guitar and Bass modes make the KATANA:GO useful for players who switch between instruments. Guitar mode includes 10 amp types and more than 60 effects, while Bass mode includes three amp types and more than 60 effects. Each mode has 30 onboard memories for storing ready-to-play sound setups.

The headphone output is built around BOSS Katana amp modeling, including clean, crunch, high-gain, acoustic/electric guitar, and bass-oriented amp characters. Its Stage Feel function uses BOSS spatial technology to place the instrument sound and Bluetooth backing audio in different positions within the headphone sound field. This creates a more natural sense of space than a conventional dry headphone practice connection.

Bluetooth connectivity supports audio playback from a mobile device and MIDI over Bluetooth Low Energy. The companion BOSS Tone Studio app supports sound editing, memory organization, Tone Exchange access, and practice features with YouTube content. A built-in OLED display shows memory information and provides access to the onboard tuner.

The KATANA:GO also works as a USB audio interface for recording and playback with compatible computers and mobile devices. Its rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides approximately five hours of continuous use, and the integrated input plug folds down for transport. Optional BOSS wireless foot control and expression products can expand hands-free operation when needed.

Key Features

  • Guitar And Bass Modes: Dedicated processing modes support electric guitar and bass with instrument-specific amp characters.
  • Katana Amp Voices: Ten guitar amp types and three bass amp types provide varied foundational tones.
  • Stage Feel Processing: Spatial headphone processing positions instrument and backing audio within a virtual sound field.
  • Bluetooth Audio And MIDI: Stream music wirelessly and connect compatible MIDI control devices over Bluetooth Low Energy.
  • USB Audio Interface: Record and play back audio with compatible computers and mobile devices through USB-C.
  • Onboard Memory Storage: Thirty memories per mode keep frequently used sounds available without an app.

Design & Installation

The KATANA:GO uses an ultra-compact enclosure with a fold-down 1/4-inch input plug, a graphic OLED display, physical buttons, a master volume control, and a USB-C port. BOSS does not publish the housing material in its listed specifications. At 45 mm wide, 125 mm deep, 29 mm high, and 65 g, it is sized for pocketable transport and direct connection to an instrument.

Fold out the integrated 1/4-inch plug and connect it to a guitar or bass output jack with the unit powered off or the volume lowered. Connect stereo headphones or earphones with a stereo miniature plug; BOSS recommends a headphone load impedance of 16 ohms or greater. Charge through USB-C with a computer USB port or a 5 V, 500 mA or higher USB power supply, then use Bluetooth or USB-C as needed for backing tracks, editing, and recording.
