The KFC-C5798RS uses a black polypropylene woofer cone, rubber surround, steel basket, and steel top plate/yoke. The woofer uses a ferrite magnet, while the 30 mm balanced-dome tweeter uses a neodymium magnet. Kenwood also applies black paint to the yoke and plate to help release heat within the magnetic circuit.
