JBL RALLYBAR S 21" Outdoor Vehicle Soundbar

The JBL RALLYBAR S is a 21-inch all-in-one soundbar designed for outdoor recreational vehicles, including UTVs, golf carts, and boats. It combines speakers, passive radiators, amplification, Bluetooth streaming, and mounting hardware in one weather-resistant package. It is intended for installations where a conventional enclosed car-audio system is not practical.

A built-in 150-watt RMS Class-D amplifier powers the soundbar, eliminating the need to add a separate amplifier for its internal speaker system. Its driver array uses four 2.75-inch woofers, two 1-inch tweeters, and two racetrack passive radiators. The specified 45 Hz–40 kHz frequency response supports full-range music playback for open-air environments.

The RALLYBAR S supports Bluetooth 5.3 streaming, USB media playback, and a 3.5 mm auxiliary input. Source selection is automatic, with USB taking priority over Bluetooth and Bluetooth taking priority over AUX input. Party Mode can maintain connections with up to two Bluetooth devices while playing audio from one device at a time.

For expanded systems, Broadcast Mode can link compatible JBL RALLYBAR, RALLYBAR S, and RALLYBAR XL soundbars to play the same source. A variable 2 Vrms 3.5 mm AUX output can feed external powered speakers or a powered subwoofer. The AUX input also provides selectable 2V, 4V, and 6V gain settings for matching compatible wired sources.

Its IP66 rating is designed to protect the soundbar against dust ingress and powerful water jets, making it appropriate for exposed vehicle installations. JBL also specifies DSP-based tuning and high-resolution audio support for wired sources. A JBL Click Bluetooth controller, sold separately, can control compatible smartphone playback functions after connection.

Design & Installation

The RALLYBAR S uses a compact 21-5/32-inch soundbar format with an IP66-rated outdoor-oriented enclosure. Its acoustic system combines four woofers, two tweeters, and two racetrack passive radiators in a single assembly. The design includes top- and rear-position mounting options to accommodate different installation locations.

Power the soundbar from a 9.6–16V DC vehicle electrical system using the included 12-foot, 12 AWG power/ground harness. Included mounting parts include mount cleats, C-clamps, rubber strips, straps, security cables, and installation hardware; confirm available mounting clearance before installation. Use Bluetooth, a FAT16/FAT32 USB drive, or the 3.5 mm AUX input for music playback, and use the AUX output when adding compatible powered speakers or a powered subwoofer.
