JBL RALLYBAR XL 35" Outdoor Vehicle Soundbar

The JBL RALLYBAR XL is a 35-inch amplified outdoor vehicle soundbar designed for UTVs, golf carts, boats, and other 12-volt recreational vehicles. It combines speakers, passive radiators, Bluetooth streaming, and amplification in one weather-resistant enclosure, reducing the need to build a separate multi-component audio system. Its integrated design is intended for installations where space, exposure to dust, and water resistance matter.

A built-in Class-D amplifier delivers 300 watts RMS and up to 600 watts peak output. The system uses eight 2.75-inch woofers, two 1-inch tweeters, and four racetrack passive radiators to cover a specified 45 Hz to 40 kHz frequency range. This gives the soundbar a broad, full-range presentation suited to music playback in open-air environments.

The RALLYBAR XL supports Bluetooth 5.3, USB music playback, and a 3.5 mm AUX input for connection to a phone, portable player, or compatible head unit. Its source-priority system places USB above Bluetooth and AUX input, allowing a higher-priority active source to interrupt a lower-priority source. Three selectable AUX input gain ranges help match the soundbar to different source-output voltages.

For outdoor use, the enclosure carries an IP66 water- and dust-resistance rating. Dynamic RGB lighting and map lights are controlled from the soundbar, with adjustable brightness and selectable effects. The unit also supports Party Mode for two connected Bluetooth devices, with one device playing at a time.

The RALLYBAR XL can also serve as the starting point for a larger powersports audio system. Broadcast Mode can distribute the same audio source to compatible JBL RALLYBAR S, RALLYBAR, and RALLYBAR XL soundbars. A variable 2 Vrms AUX output is available for connecting an external powered speaker or powered subwoofer.

Design & Installation

The RALLYBAR XL uses an integrated, weather-resistant soundbar design with sealed connection protection for its line output. Its 35-11/32-inch enclosure houses the amplifier, drivers, passive radiators, controls, and lighting in one assembly. The included mounting system provides multiple top and rear cleat positions to accommodate different mounting locations.

Installation requires connection to a 9.6 to 16 VDC vehicle electrical system using the included 12-foot, 10 AWG power/ground harness. Mounting hardware includes cleats, clamps, rubber strips, straps, security cables, and tools for supported bar-diameter configurations. Use the AUX input when integrating a head unit, Bluetooth for wireless playback, or a FAT16/FAT32 USB drive for local music files; an external powered subwoofer or speaker may be connected through the 3.5 mm AUX output.
