JBL Club 864F 6" x 8" Two-Way Car Speakers

The JBL Club 864F is a pair of 6" x 8" two-way coaxial car speakers designed as a direct upgrade for compatible factory speaker locations. It is intended for drivers who want clearer, more detailed sound than worn or basic OEM speakers can provide. With 60 watts RMS power handling and 93 dB sensitivity, it can be used with an aftermarket amplifier or a compatible factory or aftermarket radio.

These speakers combine a 6" x 8" woofer and an integrated silk dome tweeter in each speaker. Their 65 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response supports midbass, vocals, and high-frequency detail across a broad range of music. The 3-ohm nominal impedance is designed to help the speakers make effective use of available power in many vehicle audio systems.

JBL's Plus One™ woofer cone architecture increases cone area compared with conventional same-size designs. The acoustically damped, UV-resistant polypropylene cone is built for clean response and durability in automotive heat and humidity. A rubber surround supports controlled woofer movement during normal operation.

An edge-driven silk dome tweeter handles upper-frequency reproduction. This design is intended to provide smooth, broad high-frequency response without relying on a separate tweeter installation. The Club 864F is a coaxial solution, making it practical for systems where a compact, full-range replacement speaker is preferred.

The Club 864F works well as part of a factory-speaker replacement, a radio upgrade, or an amplified door- or rear-deck speaker system. It is supplied as a pair, so one package can replace two compatible speakers. Because no grilles are included, fitment should be confirmed where an exposed or custom installation is planned.

Design & Installation

The Club 864F uses a polypropylene Plus One™ woofer cone with acoustic damping and UV resistance, paired with a rubber surround and edge-driven silk dome tweeter. Its larger magnet structure supports the rated power handling. The speakers have a black finish and are supplied without grilles.

Confirm vehicle-specific fitment, mounting opening dimensions, mounting depth, and clearance behind the factory grille before installation. Each package includes two speakers and one foam gasket; installation hardware, wiring adapters, and vehicle-specific mounting brackets are not listed as included. Match the speakers with a compatible radio or amplifier and observe polarity when connecting the factory or aftermarket speaker wiring.
