The Cerwin-Vega V4 is a pair of 4-inch, 2-way coaxial car speakers designed for vehicles with compact factory speaker locations. It combines a woofer and tweeter in each speaker, helping simplify an upgrade where space is limited. The 4-ohm design is suited to compatible factory or aftermarket car-audio systems.

With 80 watts RMS and 240 watts maximum power handling, the V4 is built for a system that needs more capability than many basic replacement speakers. Its 84 Hz–20 kHz frequency response covers midrange detail and high-frequency content in a compact format. The 83 dB sensitivity specification helps set realistic expectations when matching the speakers with an amplifier or head unit.

A hybrid carbon fiber/polypropylene cone forms the main woofer diaphragm, pairing a lightweight composite construction with polypropylene. The Santoprene rubber surround supports cone movement and is intended for automotive durability. A strontium ferrite woofer magnet completes the low- and mid-frequency motor structure.

High frequencies are handled by a dynamically balanced silk dome tweeter with a neodymium magnet. An internal crossover separates the frequency range between the woofer and tweeter, while integrated tweeter protection is designed to help protect the high-frequency driver. This coaxial arrangement keeps the speaker package compact without requiring a separate external crossover.

The V4 can be used as a replacement for compatible 4-inch door, dash, or rear-deck speakers, subject to vehicle-specific fitment and clearance. Its 3.70-inch cutout diameter and 4.02-inch overall diameter should be checked against the factory opening before installation. For a more substantial upgrade, pair it with clean amplification that is appropriately rated for 4-ohm speakers and use proper wiring and mounting practices.
