Audison APBMW X4E 4" BMW/MINI Coaxial Speakers

The Audison APBMW X4E is a pair of 4-inch, two-way coaxial speakers engineered for selected BMW and MINI factory speaker locations using the large-basket fitment. It is intended for vehicles that cannot accommodate a separate front two-way system, as well as compatible rear-speaker upgrade locations. The coaxial layout combines the midrange driver and tweeter in one OEM-oriented assembly.

Each APBMW X4E handles up to 40 watts continuous and 80 watts peak at a 4-ohm impedance. Its 100 Hz to 22 kHz frequency response supports midrange and high-frequency reproduction in a factory-style speaker position. With 88 dB sensitivity, it is designed to work within an appropriately matched OEM-replacement or amplified system.

The midrange section uses a water-repellent pressed-paper cone intended to provide a natural midrange character. A 25 mm fiberglass woofer voice coil supports power handling and stiffness. The built-in Tetolon dome tweeter uses a 20 mm voice coil and a 24 mm diaphragm.

A neodymium magnetic assembly helps keep the speaker compact for BMW/MINI OEM locations. The die-cast aluminum basket is made for the APBMW X4E large-basket mounting format and uses BMW/MINI-compatible Plug & Play connectors. Its removable damping motor cover can be taken off where installation clearance is limited.

The APBMW X4E is a practical choice for replacing compatible factory coaxial speakers while retaining vehicle-specific mounting and connection provisions. A 30 cm extension cable with Plug & Play connectors is supplied to add flexibility when routing the connection. Confirm the vehicle's original speaker basket, mounting location, and audio-system configuration before installation.

Design & Installation

The APBMW X4E combines a neodymium magnetic group, 25 mm fiberglass woofer voice coil, water-repellent pressed-paper cone, and Tetolon dome tweeter. Its aluminum die-cast basket is designed for mechanical rigidity and BMW/MINI-compatible placement. A removable damping motor cover is included as part of the speaker design.

Use these speakers only where the vehicle accepts the APBMW X4E large-basket mounting format. Connect through the supplied 30 cm Plug & Play extension as needed, and verify clearance, connector style, and factory audio-system configuration before fitting. Although the cone is water-repellent, speakers should not be installed in locations exposed directly to water, excessive humidity, dust, or dirt.
