The Shure AONIC 215 Gen 2 is a true wireless Sound Isolating earphone system built around Shure's detachable SE215 earphones and RMCE-TW2 secure-fit adapters. It provides a cable-free listening option for music, calls, commuting, exercise, and everyday mobile use. The over-ear design helps keep the earphones stable while the included sleeve selection supports a personalized in-ear seal.

Its single dynamic MicroDriver design is tuned for clear sound with deep bass, while passive Sound Isolating technology can reduce outside noise by up to 37 dB. This approach helps listeners hear detail without relying on active noise cancellation. Environment Mode can be enabled when awareness of nearby sound is needed.

Bluetooth 5 connectivity supports Qualcomm aptX, AAC, and SBC codecs for use with compatible phones, tablets, laptops, and other Bluetooth audio sources. The system has a stated wireless range of up to 10 m (30 ft). Integrated beamforming microphones support stereo phone and video calls.

Each charge provides up to 8 hours of playback, and the included charging case supplies three additional full charges for up to 32 hours total. Physical button controls provide access to playback, calls, volume, and Environment Mode functions. The earphones also power on automatically when removed from the charging case.

The modular MMCX connection makes this set useful for listeners who want to move between true wireless and compatible wired Shure accessories. The included AONIC 215 earphones can be detached from the wireless adapters and connected to other compatible MMCX cable options. ShurePlus PLAY app support adds EQ, button-control, firmware, and Environment Mode adjustments.

Design & Installation

The black AONIC 215 Gen 2 uses detachable MMCX earphones and left/right secure-fit wireless adapters. Soft Flex and foam sleeves in small, medium, and large sizes are included to help create a secure seal. The earphones and adapters are IPX4 rated for sweat and water resistance, although the charging case is not water resistant.

No vehicle installation or wiring is required. Charge the case with the included USB-C charging cable, remove the earphones to enter pairing mode, and select “SHURE AONIC TW2” from a compatible Bluetooth device. For wired listening, detach the earphones from the adapters and use a separately available compatible Shure MMCX cable accessory.
