JVC HA-S95N Hybrid Noise Canceling Wireless Headphones

The JVC HA-S95N is a lightweight, around-ear wireless headphone designed for focused listening, travel, work, and everyday entertainment. Its hybrid noise-canceling system helps reduce surrounding noise while Bluetooth connectivity keeps cable clutter to a minimum. A detachable headphone cable is included for wired listening when preferred.

These headphones use 36 mm dynamic drivers and offer three selectable sound modes: Flat, Bass, and Clear. The modes make it simple to tailor playback for balanced listening, more low-end presence, or added vocal clarity. The JVC Headphones app also supports additional sound customization.

Hybrid noise canceling uses dual microphones to address outside sound, while Ambient Sound mode lets users hear more of their surroundings when needed. Wind Cut mode is included for more comfortable use in breezy conditions. Noise canceling is particularly intended to help with steady low-frequency sounds such as vehicle and air-conditioner noise.

The rechargeable battery supports up to approximately 50 hours of Bluetooth playback, or approximately 35 hours when Bluetooth is used with noise canceling or Ambient Sound. A full charge takes approximately three hours. The included 1.2 m detachable cable also provides a practical wired option and can be used if the battery is depleted.

With Bluetooth 5.3, multipoint connection, a built-in remote and microphone, and voice-assistant compatibility, the HA-S95N fits easily into a phone, tablet, computer, or portable-audio setup. It supports SBC and AAC Bluetooth audio codecs and can remember pairing information for up to eight devices. Its fold-flat construction also makes it easier to carry between home, office, and travel use.

Design & Installation

The HA-S95N combines an adjustable steel headband with soft around-ear pads, a lightweight honey-ribbed construction, and a flat-folding design. It weighs approximately 195 g including its internal rechargeable battery. Physical controls are positioned on the earcups for power, volume, noise-canceling functions, and multi-function operation.

For wireless use, charge the headphones with the included USB Type-C charging cable, then pair them from the Bluetooth menu of a compatible source device. Use the supplied single-sided 1.2 m headphone cable with a compatible 3.5 mm headphone output for wired playback. A USB charging adapter is not included; JVC specifies a 3.5 W to 10 W charging adapter requirement.
