JVC HA-RX700 Full-Size Wired Over-Ear Headphones

The JVC HA-RX700 is a full-size wired headphone designed for home listening, entertainment systems, computers, and other audio sources with a standard headphone output. Its around-ear design provides a more enveloping fit than compact on-ear headphones. The long attached cable is useful where the listening position is farther from the source.

These headphones are suited to listeners who want a traditional, plug-in headphone for music, movies, television, and general stereo playback. A 3.5 mm mini plug connects to common consumer audio outputs, while the included 6.3 mm adapter supports many home stereo and professional-style headphone jacks. No battery charging or wireless pairing is required.

The HA-RX700 uses one 50 mm neodymium driver per ear with a stated 8 Hz to 25,000 Hz frequency response. JVC pairs the large driver with its ring port structure to support dynamic playback and deep bass reproduction. Its 48-ohm impedance and 105 dB/1 mW sensitivity are intended for conventional headphone outputs.

A wide head pad is used to distribute contact across the top of the head during longer sessions. The circumaural, around-ear construction surrounds the ear for a full-size listening experience. At 330 g without the cord, it is designed as a substantial stationary-listening headphone rather than a compact portable model.

The HA-RX700 fits easily into a wired audio setup with a TV, computer, receiver, headphone amplifier, keyboard, mixer, or other compatible source. Its 3.5 m cable offers flexibility for sofa, desk, and home-stereo use. For sources with a 6.3 mm headphone jack, install the supplied adapter before connecting.

The HA-RX700 uses a black full-size headband design with around-ear earcups, a wide head pad, and neodymium driver assemblies. Its closed, dynamic headphone construction is intended for stereo listening. The attached cable terminates in a gold-plated 3.5 mm stereo mini plug.

Connect the 3.5 mm plug directly to a compatible headphone output on a phone, computer, television, portable player, receiver, or headphone amplifier. Use the included 6.3 mm plug adapter when the source has a larger headphone jack. The 3.5 m cord is especially practical for seated home listening; route it where it will not create a tripping hazard.
