The Rockford Fosgate RFK1D is a complete wiring kit built to supply power, ground, signal, remote turn-on, and speaker connections for a two-amplifier car audio system. This helps simplify the parts-selection process when building a dual-amp setup.

This kit is intended for installers adding separate amplifiers for systems such as amplified speakers plus a subwoofer. Its 1/0 AWG main power and ground wiring feeds two included distribution blocks, which then support 4 AWG connections to the amplifiers. The included 300-amp fuse and fuse holder provide circuit protection at the main power cable.

Rockford Fosgate specifies full-spec cable made with 100% Pure Crystal Oxygen-Free Copper (PC-OFC). The power and ground cable is designed to meet or exceed American Wire Gauge requirements, supporting reliable current delivery in appropriately matched systems. Three twisted-pair RCA patch cables are included to carry low-level audio signals between a compatible source unit or processor and amplifiers.

The RFK1D includes both high-current wiring and the smaller connection items needed to finish an installation. It supplies 16 AWG speaker wire, an 18 AWG remote turn-on lead, cable ties, terminals, a firewall grommet, and battery-connection hardware. The RFK1D combines translucent-jacket power and ground cables with brass connection components and dedicated distribution blocks. Its 1/0 AWG cable uses 4,704 copper strands, while the 4 AWG cable uses 1,862 strands. The kit also includes twisted-pair RCA cables for signal routing and a 16 AWG speaker-wire run for amplifier-to-speaker connections.

Route the 17-foot main power cable from the battery through a properly protected firewall opening, and install the included fuse holder close to the battery according to safe installation practices. Connect the two distribution blocks to split the main 1/0 AWG power and ground runs into 4 AWG amplifier connections. Confirm that the installed amplifiers, fuse requirements, wire routing, grounding points, and vehicle charging system are appropriate for the complete system before use.
