STX Audio SX4C 4 Gauge Amplifier Wiring Kit

The STX Audio SX4C is a 4-gauge amplifier wiring kit designed to supply power, signal connection, remote turn-on, and speaker wire for a car-audio amplifier installation. It provides a coordinated set of core wiring components instead of requiring each cable to be sourced separately. This makes it suited to new amplifier installs and system upgrades where cable routing and circuit protection are needed.

The kit uses a True Spec 4 AWG power cable intended to carry amplifier power from the vehicle battery to the amplifier location. A 17-foot power-cable length gives installers room to route cable through many passenger-car, truck, and recreational-vehicle layouts. A separate 3-foot ground cable is included for the amplifier's chassis-ground connection.

For signal transfer, the SX4C includes a 17-foot double-shielded RCA cable. The shielding is intended to help reduce unwanted noise entering the low-level audio signal path. A 17-foot remote wire is also included to connect the amplifier's turn-on circuit to a compatible source unit or control lead.

Protection is handled by an included AGU fuse holder with both 80-amp and 100-amp fuses. Providing two fuse values gives the installer an option when matching the fuse to the requirements of the installed amplifier system. The fuse holder is designed for placement in the main power-wire run.

The SX4C also includes 20 feet of speaker wire for connecting an amplifier to speakers or a subwoofer enclosure. Its cable lengths and component selection make it appropriate for compatible cars, trucks, motorcycles, ATVs, and RVs. It is a wiring-and-installation package, so the amplifier, source unit, speakers, and vehicle-specific mounting hardware are separate components.

Design & Installation

The SX4C combines a 4-gauge main power cable with dedicated low-level signal, remote, ground, and speaker wiring. Its AGU fuse holder and included fuses place circuit protection within the installation package. Route the 17-foot power cable from the battery to the amplifier and use the 3-foot ground cable at a suitable nearby chassis-ground point. Install the AGU fuse holder in the main power run and select either the included 80A or 100A fuse according to the requirements of the connected system. Confirm that the amplifier accepts 4-gauge power cable and plan signal, power, and speaker-wire paths before installation.
