This kit is intended for vehicle owners adding one compatible amplifier to a car audio system. The long red power cable supports routing from the battery to an amplifier location, while the shorter ground cable is intended for a nearby chassis-ground connection. Signal cables and speaker wire are not included, so they should be selected separately for the specific source unit and amplifier setup.

The RFK1 uses 100% Pure Crystal-Oxygen Free Copper cable and full-spec 1/0 AWG construction. Its 53.5 mm² power and ground conductors are made with 4,704 strands, providing a flexible heavy-gauge wiring foundation for high-current amplifier installations. The kit also includes an inline fuse holder and a 300-amp ANL fuse to protect the main power run.

Rather than changing the sound character of a system directly, the RFK1 provides the electrical connection required for an amplifier to operate as designed. Properly sized copper power and ground wiring helps create an appropriate supply path between the vehicle battery, chassis ground, and amplifier. Final system performance depends on the connected amplifier, speakers, source equipment, installation quality, and vehicle electrical system.

Design & Installation

The RFK1 is organized around red 1/0 AWG power cable, translucent gray 1/0 AWG ground cable, and a blue remote lead. Both large conductors use 100% Pure Crystal-Oxygen Free Copper and 4,704-strand construction. The included ANL fuse holder, 300-amp fuse, power rings, rubber boots, connectors, grommet, and wire ties provide the accessories needed to finish the primary power wiring.

Route the 17-foot power cable from the battery to the amplifier, using the supplied fuse holder on the main power run and protecting any pass-through point with the included grommet. Keep the 3-foot ground cable as short as practical and connect it to a secure, prepared vehicle chassis grounding point. Disconnect the vehicle battery before work, verify amplifier terminal compatibility with 1/0 AWG cable, and obtain separate RCA/signal cables and speaker wire as required.
