The Hertz SV200-1 is a pair of 8-inch SPL midrange speakers designed for high-output car audio systems. It is built to reproduce the vocal and mid-frequency range with strong sensitivity and controlled projection. A 38 mm copper voice coil is wound on a two-layer KSV former for thermal and mechanical durability. The high-density ferrite motor uses high-magnetic-permeability plates to support stable magnetic flux. High-current tin-plated terminals provide a robust connection point for properly sized speaker wiring.

For system design, pair the SV200-1 with a high-pass crossover set at or above the manufacturer’s 150 Hz, 12 dB/octave rating condition. Add dedicated tweeters for upper-frequency coverage and a subwoofer system for bass below the midrange operating band. Its 8-inch format suits custom doors, kick panels, rear decks, and fabricated SPL panels where mounting depth and cutout clearance are available.

The SV200-1 combines a solid stamped-frame structure with an ultra-light pressed-paper cone, paper dust cap, double-wave damped-fabric surround, and high-density ferrite magnet. Its copper voice coil is wound on a two-layer KSV former, while high-current tin-plated terminals are intended for secure speaker-wire connections. The speaker has a 209 mm overall diameter and a 97 mm mounting depth.

Verify the 184 mm mounting cutout requirement and 97 mm mounting depth before installation, including clearance behind the panel for the motor assembly. Use a high-pass filter at 150 Hz with a 12 dB/octave slope or greater to align with the manufacturer’s continuous-power rating condition. For balanced full-range performance, use these midranges with separate tweeters and bass reinforcement rather than operating them as standalone full-range speakers.
