The Rockford Fosgate P1V2-46 is a pair of 4 x 6-inch, 4-ohm, 3-way coaxial car speakers designed to replace basic factory speakers. It is intended for vehicles with single-speaker locations in doors or rear decks. The all-in-one coaxial layout adds dedicated high-frequency drivers where many OEM single-cone speakers have none.

Each speaker is rated for 75 watts RMS and 150 watts peak power. With a 64 Hz to 25 kHz frequency response, the pair is suited to full-range playback in compact factory-size locations. Its 86 dB sensitivity rating at 1 watt/1 meter supports use with compatible factory or aftermarket power.

The P1V2-46 uses a mica-reinforced polypropylene curvilinear cone and Santoprene half-roll surround. This combination is paired with a 1-inch vented Kapton voice coil former and a Y35 ferrite motor structure. The design focuses on controlled cone movement, heat dissipation, and durability in daily vehicle use.

A 3/4-inch Tetolon inverted-dome tweeter and a 3/8-inch polypropylene piezo super tweeter handle upper-frequency detail. The concealed ICC+ crossover network uses a 6 dB-per-octave tweeter high-pass point at 9 kHz. Included external bass blockers provide a 400 Hz, 6 dB-per-octave high-pass option for the midrange.

These speakers are a practical fit for an OEM replacement or a modest car-audio upgrade using a compatible 4-ohm source or amplifier. A removable motor cover helps when rear mounting clearance is limited. Grilles are not included, so installations behind exposed speaker openings may require separately sourced protection.

The P1V2-46 uses a 15% glass-fiber-reinforced PA66 injection-molded composite basket, co-molded terminals, and a high-strength Y35 ferrite motor structure. Its cone is chemically bonded to the Santoprene surround, while a Nomex spider and braided tinsel leads support the moving assembly. The speaker is finished in black and uses a 3-way coaxial configuration.

Confirm the 5.62 x 3.66-inch cutout requirement, 2.02-inch mounting depth with the motor cover, and 0.38-inch front-side clearance before ordering. The package includes mounting hardware, 4-tab adapters, a cutout template, speaker wire, connectors, and non-polarized bass blockers. Install the bass blockers inline on the positive speaker lead when used, maintain correct polarity, and check door-window or rear-deck clearance before final tightening.
