Rockford Fosgate RGB-Y4P 4-Pin Color Optix Y-Adapter

The Rockford Fosgate RGB-Y4P is a 4-pin Color Optix™ Y-adapter designed to expand compatible RGB lighting connections in a Rockford Fosgate marine or powersports audio system. It provides a plug-and-play connection point for adding Color Optix speakers or subwoofers to a PMX-RGB lighting-controller run. This is a lighting accessory and does not add audio power or change the sound of the connected speakers.

It is intended for installers building or expanding a Color Optix lighting system with M1 or M2 speakers and subwoofers. The Y-adapter lets one lighting run continue to an additional compatible component, helping reduce the need for separate controller runs. It is especially useful when adding speakers in a boat, UTV, or other exposed environment where organized, sealed connections matter.

The RGB-Y4P carries low-voltage DC lighting signals for the LEDs behind compatible speaker or subwoofer grilles. Its 4-conductor, 22 AWG construction supports the Color Optix RGB connection format rather than speaker-level audio wiring. This keeps lighting distribution separate from the audio signal path.

Rockford Fosgate uses Element Ready™ Deutsch™ / Amphenol™ connection hardware to support secure system integration. The cable assembly is rated IPX6 when properly secured, while its Element Ready connector is rated IP7. These ratings are intended to help protect the connection from water exposure in marine and outdoor installations.

The RGB-Y4P fits into the Rockford Fosgate True Marine ecosystem alongside the PMX-RGB controller and RGB-6, RGB-16, or RGB-25 extension cables. Connect the adapter to the controller or an extension cable, attach a compatible speaker or subwoofer through its Deutsch/Amphenol connection, and use the additional 4-pin female connection to continue the lighting chain. One RGB-Y4P is required for each compatible speaker or subwoofer connection in this configuration.

The RGB-Y4P is built as a compact 4-pin lighting adapter with one Deutsch/Amphenol #DT06-4S connection, one 4-pin mini male connector, and one 4-pin mini female connector. Its sealed connection design is rated IPX6 when properly secured, and the Element Ready connector is rated IP7. The assembly is intended for the environmental demands of Rockford Fosgate Color Optix marine and powersports systems.

Install the RGB-Y4P between a PMX-RGB controller or compatible RGB-6, RGB-16, or RGB-25 extension cable and a supported M1 or M2 speaker or subwoofer. Connect the component's Deutsch connector, then use the 4-pin female connector to daisy-chain another compatible lighting component.
