The JVC SP-WS1BT is a palm-sized portable wireless speaker designed for straightforward Bluetooth listening at home, at a desk, or away from a main audio system. It gives phones and other compatible Bluetooth devices a dedicated speaker without requiring vehicle wiring, a receiver, or an external amplifier. Its compact form makes it suited to listeners who want a small, rechargeable speaker for everyday music playback.

This model uses a dedicated tweeter, an oval woofer, and a passive radiator in a genuine wood cabinet. That three-part acoustic arrangement is intended to cover detailed upper frequencies, core musical range, and low-frequency reinforcement within a compact enclosure. The result is a self-contained mono speaker designed for focused personal listening and small-room use.

Bluetooth 5.3 provides the wireless connection, with AAC and SBC codec support for compatible source devices. The speaker supports A2DP for audio playback and AVRCP for compatible playback control. Top-panel buttons provide direct power, pairing, play/pause, and volume operation without needing to handle the source device for every adjustment.

A built-in lithium-ion rechargeable battery supports up to 12 hours of playback, depending on use conditions. Charging is handled through the speaker's USB charging port, and a dedicated USB cable is supplied. The speaker also includes battery-status indicators, power-save behavior at low battery voltage, and automatic shutoff when inactive.

For a wider presentation, two SP-WS1BT speakers can be linked as left and right channels through the built-in stereo-pairing function. One unit connects to the Bluetooth source while the second becomes the companion channel. This makes it practical to begin with one portable speaker and add a second matching unit later for stereo playback.

Design & Installation

The SP-WS1BT uses a genuine wood cabinet with a compact, palm-sized form factor. Its speaker system includes one 22 mm tweeter, one 40 mm by 72 mm woofer, and one 64 mm by 53 mm passive radiator. Top-mounted controls and status indicators keep primary operation accessible, while the USB charging port is located on the side.

No permanent installation or vehicle wiring is required. Charge the speaker with the supplied USB cable and a commercially available 5 V, 2 A or higher USB AC adapter, then pair a Bluetooth source by selecting “JVC SP-WS1BT.” For stereo use, add a second SP-WS1BT and assign the two speakers as left and right channels through the Mode button.
