JVC HA-NP35T Open-Ear True Wireless Nearphones

The JVC HA-NP35T Nearphones are open-ear true wireless headphones designed for listening while remaining aware of nearby sounds. Their ear-opening design avoids blocking the ear canal, making them a practical choice for commutes, workdays, walks, and casual exercise. They provide a personal listening option for music, podcasts, calls, and online meetings without the sealed feel of conventional earbuds.

These Nearphones are suited to listeners who prefer a lightweight, less intrusive alternative to in-ear headphones. Each earphone rests over the ear rather than inside the ear canal, helping reduce the pressure associated with ear tips. The design can also be worn with glasses or a mask.

JVC equips the HA-NP35T with one 16 mm driver per ear and neodymium magnets. The open construction is paired with a bass-reflex structure intended to support fuller sound while reducing sound leakage. Its specified dynamic frequency response range is 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz.

For calls and virtual meetings, each earphone uses dual microphones and active noise reduction for calling. A microphone muting function adds convenience during online conversations, while touch controls provide access to everyday headphone functions. The HA-NP35T also supports using either the left or right earphone independently.

Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity makes the HA-NP35T an easy addition to a Bluetooth-enabled personal audio setup. The earphones provide up to 7 hours of playback per charge, while the included charging case stores an additional 10 hours for up to 17 hours total. IPX4-rated earphones add drip and sweat resistance for day-to-day active use.

Design & Installation

The HA-NP35T uses an open-type, over-ear Nearphone form factor with touch controls and automatic power on/off functionality. Each earphone weighs approximately 12 g, and the charging case weighs approximately 73 g with its built-in battery. The earphones carry an IPX4 drip-proof rating for resistance to sweat and light splashes.

Pair the HA-NP35T with a Bluetooth-compatible source and select “JVC HA-NP35T” from the source device's Bluetooth menu. The headphones support A2DP, AVRCP, and HFP Bluetooth profiles, with SBC audio codec support. Charge the earphones in the included case using the supplied USB charging cable; a 3W to 10W charging adapter is required but not included.
