The Audison DRC is a wired digital remote control designed for compatible Audison Thesis TH amplifiers and bit-series signal processors. It brings everyday system adjustments within reach from the dashboard rather than requiring a computer for routine use. The controller is suited to custom installations where the processor or amplifiers are mounted out of reach.
A central rotary control and dedicated function keys provide direct access to master volume, balance, fader, and subwoofer level functions. This makes it practical to compensate for changing road noise, different recordings, or passenger preferences while driving. Source selection and stored tuning-memory access are also available when supported by the connected Audison component.
The DRC is especially useful in systems using Audison digital processing or Thesis amplification. With compatible TH amplifiers, it can select analog or optical digital input operation and control the main listening level. It can also display amplifier status information for systems connected through the Audison AC Link control bus.
Its display-based interface is intended to show current control settings, selected functions, and relevant system messages. During processor setup from a PC, the remote can remain connected, but control is disabled until the software setup is complete. Once tuning is finished, the DRC provides a convenient in-vehicle interface for the saved system configuration.
The DRC supports both flush and external mounting methods, allowing an installer to choose a dashboard location that is visible and easy to reach. It connects through the Audison DRC/AC Link connection used by compatible equipment. This makes it a focused upgrade for Audison systems needing source, volume, preset, and monitoring control at the driver’s seat.
Key Features
- Rotary Main Control: Adjusts system volume and selected audio functions from the dashboard.
- Dedicated Function Keys: Provides access to volume, balance, fader, and subwoofer-level adjustments.
- Source Selection: Switches supported analog, auxiliary, and digital source inputs.
- Memory Recall: Accesses compatible processor or amplifier tuning memories.
- TH Amplifier Monitoring: Displays status information from compatible Thesis amplifiers on AC Link.
- Flexible Mounting: Supports flush-mount or external-mount dashboard installation methods.
Design & Installation
The DRC uses a compact dashboard-control format with a display, rotary encoder, dedicated buttons, and mounting brackets for two installation styles. Audison documentation identifies the physical installation dimensions and mounting-hole layout, while the enclosure material is not specified. The face layout keeps frequently used system controls grouped around the display for straightforward operation.
Install the DRC in an ergonomic dashboard position and connect it to a compatible Audison device through the DRC/AC Link connection. Use the flush-mount arrangement for a more integrated appearance, or the external bracket arrangement where cutting a panel is not preferred. Confirm compatibility and configure the connected bit processor or Thesis amplifier before relying on source selection, memory recall, or amplifier-monitoring functions.

What Audison products work with the DRC?
The DRC is designed for compatible Audison Thesis TH amplifiers and Audison bit-series processors using the AC Link/DRC control connection. Available functions depend on the connected component and its configuration.
Can this control a complete car audio system volume?
Yes. With a compatible Audison processor or Thesis amplifier, the DRC provides master-volume control. It also supports separate subwoofer level, balance, and fader adjustment when those functions are configured in the system.
Can I use the DRC with an optical digital source?
With compatible Thesis TH equipment, the DRC can select the optical digital input and act as the main volume control. The connected source and amplifier must be configured for digital-input operation.
Does it store tuning settings by itself?
No. Tuning memories are created and stored in the compatible Audison processor or amplifier. The DRC provides access to those stored memories, with the number of available memories depending on the connected product.
Can it be installed flush in a dashboard?
Yes. Audison documents both flush-mount and external-mount installation methods. Mounting dimensions and bracket placement should be checked before cutting a vehicle panel.
Will the DRC work while the processor is connected to a PC?
The remote may remain connected during PC setup, but its controls are disabled while the software has control of the compatible processor. Normal DRC operation resumes after setup is completed.
